Panasonic on Wednesday has officially launched the Eluga U smartphone in India, priced for Rs. 18,990 and it will be available in the first week of August. The Eluga series of smartphones introduced by the company in 2012 with the launch of Eluga DL1 and the Eluga Power in the European markets.

Panasonic Eluga U Dual SIM smartphone comes with 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixel) IPS OGS display. It runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS and powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 2GB RAM.

Panasonic Eluga U Dual SIM smartphone also has 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front camera. Its inbuilt storage is 16GB which can be expandable up to 32GB through microSD card.

For connectivity options smartphone has 3G, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS/ A-GPS with 2500 mAh Li-ion non-removable battery.

Panasonic Eluga U Dual SIM smartphone also come up with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and "anti-shatter crystal glass for its back panel.

Panasonic Eluga U Dual SIM smartphone also has its own UI called the FitHome UI. The Panasonic interface lets users access all installed apps on the homescreen itself.

                                                

Panasonic Eluga U Dual SIM smartphone has weight of 141 grams, and measures of 141.5x71.3x7.95mm.

The smartphone is also available for sale on an online retailer like eBay etc.

According to Panasonic’s India Managing Director, Manish Sharma, after Japan. India is the HQ for Panasonic global smartphone business, but manufacturing is not yet moving here
