Google Nexus 9 tablet, which was unveiled earlier this week, is now listed on the Google Play Store in India. However, there is no confirmation on the availability date yet but it is rumoured for the November launch.
Google Nexus 9 has been priced at Rs. 28,900 for the 16GB Wi-Fi only variant, while the 32GB cellular variant is priced at Rs. 44,900. The 32GB Wi-Fi only variant is listed as unavailable. The tablet is slated to be available in Indigo Black and Lunar White colour variants, only the former is listed on Google Play India at the moment.
Google Nexus 9 features an 8.9 inch IPS LCD display with QXGA display with 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. As rumoured, the tablet is powered by 2.3GHz 64-bit NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor with 2GB of RAM. It sports an 8 megapixel rear autofocus camera with f/2.4 aperture and LED flash. There is a 1.6 megapixel front camera as well.
The Nexus 9 tablet runs Android 5.0 Lollipop, the most recent version of Google's operating system for mobile devices. The Google Nexus 9 tablet is being manufactured by HTC.
For connectivity, it includes: 3.5mm audio jack, Micro-USB, GPS, Wi-Fi, NFC, and Bluetooth. Google Nexus 9 also features dual front-facing speakers with HTC's Boomsound and dual microphones. Sensors listed include ambient light sensor, gyroscope, accelerometer, and magnetometer. It is power backed by a 6700 mAh battery, which can deliver up to 9.5 hours of browsing time, video playback time of up to 9.5 hours, and a standby time of 30 days for the Wi-Fi model. |
