Nokia on Tuesday announced the Nokia N1, the "first Nokia-branded Android tablet." The Nokia N1 Android tablet will cost $249 (roughly Rs. 15,400) before taxes. The tablet will be launched in China in Q1 2015. The device will be manufactured by Taiwan-based Foxconn. And it will operate on Android instead of the Windows software.
Nokia N1 Android tablet comes with 7.9-inch (2048x1536 pixel) IPS LED-backlit display with Gorilla Glass 3. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with the company's Nokia Z Launcher on top, powered by a 64-bit 2.3GHz Intel Atom Z3580 processor (4 cores, 4 threads) with a PowerVR G6430 GPU and 2GB of LPDDR3 (800MHz) RAM.
Nokia N1 Android tablet also has 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera with 1080p video recording, a 5-megapixel front camera. Its inbuilt storage is 32GB which is non-expandable through microSD card.
For connectivity options tablet has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/n/ac with MIMO, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB with reversible Type-C connector, and a 3.5mm audio jack, 0.5W stereo speakers and for sensors, it sports a 6-axis gyroscope and an accelerometer with 5300mAh battery.
Nokia N1 Android tablet measures 200.7x138.6x6.9mm, 318 grams.
