Vodafone India launch 2G and 3G telecom services in Lachung, Sikkim

Vodafone India, on Thursday announced the launch of its 2G and 3G telecom services in Lachung, Sikkim. The company will now cover approximately 369 towns and villages, Reports PTI.

Anand Sahai, Business Head - Kolkata and Rest of Bengal, Vodafone India said, "We are the first private telecom operator to launch its services in Lachung. With this expansion, we have now covered more than 91 percent of population in Sikkim and 93.5 per cent in Rest of Bengal Circle.”

Vodafone has so far deployed almost 181 cell sites across the State and 7,150 approx across the Rest of Bengal Circle and continues to expand its network.
