HTC, on Sunday launched its flagship smartphone the HTC One 9 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. HTC M9 is almost identical to its last year flagship device the HTC One M8, but the major change is the camera of the M9. It has an all-metal unibody design which is highlighted by dual-tone silver and rose gold finish along with mirror-polished gold sides.

The HTC One 9 features a 5 inch full HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution at 441 ppi. HTC has come up with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for protection. Samsung has also used the same protection for its Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphone. It is powered with a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor with 3GB RAM.
 
HTC One M9 smartphone runs on HTC’s Sense 7 skin with the Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system. The device comes with 32GB internal memory that can be further expanded up to 128GB using microSD card.
 
The major advancement is the camera in HTC One M9. It comes with a 20 megapixels rear camera along with a sapphire cover lens and an Ultrapixel front facing camera with BSI sensor. The camera also shoots movies in 4K resolution. The device has various sensors, inclusing - Ambient Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Compass Sensor, Gyro Sensor and Magnetic Sensor.
 
For connectivity, HTC One M9 includes - Bluetooth 4.1 with aptX, Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, HTC Connect, for wirelessly streaming media from the phone to compatible multi-room audio system, NFC and Micro-USB. The HTC One 9 is power backed by a 2840 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery.
 
The smartphone support a nano-SIM card. The device measures 144.6 x 69.7 x 9.61 mm and weighs 157gm. It will be available in Silver, Pink, Gold and gun-mental Grey. The prices and availability are not yet revealed.
