Micromax subsidiary YU, on Tuesday launched the new entry-level 4G smartphone in India, called, Yu Yunique. It is priced at Rs. 4,999 and the registrations for the device began yesterday at 6pm and will go on sale exclusively via Snapdeal onSeptember 15. The main attraction of the device is its 4G LTE connectivity with HD display running Android Lollipop OS. The device measures 134.50x67.50x8.30 mm and weights 128 grams.
Yu Yunique features a 4.7 inch HD display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution and is protected by Coring Gorilla Glass 3. Unlike other YU devices YU Yunique runs Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system instead of Cyanogen OS. It is powered with 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and 1GB of LPDDR3 RAM.
Yu Yunique comes with 8GB of internal storage that is further expandable up to 32GB using a microSD card space. It comes with an 8 megapixels rear camera and a 2 megapixels front camera. The camera interface is simple and easy to operate. Some of the options we found in the menu are flash mode, storage location, picture size, picture quality, timer, continuous shot, and face detection.
The device is power backed by a 2000 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery that is rated to deliver up to 7 hours of talk time and up to 271 hours of standby time. For connectivity, Yu Yunique includes – 4G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi hotspot, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, FM radio and Micro-USB v2.0. The device will also comes with Airtel’s 4G double data offer. |
