Reliance Jio launches 4G services for its group employees

Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani announced his much-touted 4G telecom services at a mega launch event in Navi Mumbai on Sunday evening, restricting it only for Reliance employees for now.

4G services will now be available to roughly around 120,000 Reliance Jio - employees, their families and business partners from Monday onwards, which is also the 83rd birth anniversary of Reliance Founder Chairman Dhirubhai Ambani.

Reliance Jio holds the highest amount of liberalised spectrum among telecom operators which can be used for deploying any technology for mobile services. It has a total of 751.1 MHz spectrum across 800 MHz, 1800 MHz and 2300 MHz bands.

Shah Rukh Khan and AR Rahman performed at the launch event at Reliance Corporate Park as well.

It is also expected to full-fledged launch of 4G commercially in India around March next year by Reliance Jio with a very competative and affordable price range for the consumers as well.
