Finnish handset major, Nokia announced shipping of its enterprise segment focused, Nokia E75 handset, available in the North American market for $530. In Europe it is available for EUR 375.
The smartphone is positioned around its mobile email and messaging functionality and is an attempt to take on the challenge from BlackBerry. It is a slider phone with a QWERTY key pad with a 2.4-inch, 320-by-240-pixel (QVGA) screen and number pad on the front.
It runs on Symbian OS and supports Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and 3G (HSDPA).
The dimensions of the phone are 4.4 inches by 2.0 inches by 0.6 inches (112 mm by 50 mm by 14 mm), and it weighs 4.9 ounces (139 g).
Nokia says the handset comes with a new email user interface including option for folders and HTML email support.
The phone is available in silver/black and red colours. |
