Samsung announced the launch of Samsung Star and Samsung Star 3G full screen touch phones in the Indian market which has been manufactured at the company''s manufacturing facility based out of Noida. Samsung also launched Samsung BEATDJ in India.

“Samsung Star and Samsung Star 3G are significant additions to our full-touch screen mobile portfolio, featuring all the essential functions in one single device. At Samsung , our effort is to deliver various full touch products for every consumer lifestyle,” said Sunil Dutt, Country Head, Samsung Mobile Division.

The Samsung Star boosts of a slim and compact body measuring 11.9mm and incorporating Samsung's TouchWiz User Interface with one of the features called 'Photo Contact' enabling users to call the contact at the touch of an image. It also has a Gesture Control allowing users to unlock the Touch Screen or run an application by giving a gesture command. The phone is priced at Rs 11,100/-

The Samsung Star 3G model priced at Rs 14,499/- promises full internet browsing support with an accelerometer sensor for auto-rotation.

The new Samsung BEATDJ model follows the earlier launched BEAT 450 and BEAT 270 models and comes with Bang & Olufsen technology. It is a 3G compatible phone and is priced at Rs 18,990/-
