Samsung launches new 3G Phone in India

Samsung India announced the launch of Samsung Ultra, full touch slider 3G capable phone in the Indian market. It is partnering PSUs MTNL and BSNL for the model to be bundled with the 3G services.

 

The phone is also equipped with 8 mega pixel camera and AMOLED anti-scratch screen. The phone is priced at Rs 27,500.

 

"With this launch, the company has a portfolio of four touch-screen phones in the Indian market and 12 out of total 50 phones of Samsung are 3G enabled," said Samsung Telecom division country head Sunil Dutt.

 

"We have a wide portfolio of 3G handsets including our touch-screen phones to help the Indian consumer experience the full benefit of 3G services in India. Some of our 3G handsets, in fact, are being manufactured at our Noida facility," said Samsung India Electronic Ltd president and chief executive Jung Soo Shin.
