Telecom equipment maker ZTE Corp. has outmatched its peers to emerge as the leader in Optical Networking (ON) industry with the highest growth in the fourth Quarter 08, propelled by its Bearer Network Products, revealed a report published by research firm Ovum.
ZTE reported 27 percent y-o-y sales increase, for its Bearer Network Products that features multi-service bearer products and Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) products, said the report titled “Market Share: 4Q08 and 2008 Global ON”.
With the looming macroeconomic turbulence, capex budgets are likely to be hit, making vendor stability a strong buying criteria and giving ZTE a chance prove itself as the “safe” choice in the next few months, says the report.
The company gave out this momentous development at the PTN Conference held in Vienna, Austria from April 27th to 30th, 2009.
Separately, another Ovum research report named “Market Share: 4Q08 and 2008 EMEA ON” showed that ZTE had the biggest share gain in both aggregation and backbone in the Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) segment.
Commenting on the reports, Fan Xiaobing, General Manager of Bearer Network Products, ZTE Corporation said, “The Ovum reports further reaffirms ZTE’s strong R&D advantage and our capability to offer first-class optical networking products through our Bearer Network Product lines.” |
