Motorola on Monday showed off its latest offering, MOTO W7 Active Edition, a motion-enabled mobile device.
The phone is positioned around the slogan ''shake up your everyday phone experience' and is equipped with an accelerometer which the company claims can understand and sense user's gestures, taps and flicks.
“The accelerometer technologies put a new spin on the traditional relationship we have with our phone by not only simplifying how you use it, but making it more fun in the process, said Alan Muticry, Senior Vice President, Motorola Mobile Devices.
Another noteworthy feature is the in-built step pedometer, which comes in handy while counting and recording daily walks. Motorola has even included a Personal Trainer application that lets user work out as per fitness goals.
Additionally, the W7 model includes features such as an MP3 player, FM radio, stereo Bluetooth, an optional 8GB of external memory, 3G speeds, a 2-megapixel camera, a second VGA camera for video calls, and a full screen mode to check out video clips.
The MOTO W7 will hit the shores of Asia and Latin America in the second quarter, in two different colours- Licorice and Alpine White.
The prices remain undisclosed. |
