International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) is all geared to roll out the commercial edition of its computing software that can enable companies analyze real-time data. The software, dubbed as the System S, will be revealed on Wednesday at IBM''s annual event for the industry analysts.
The System S can be used in any situation where chunk of data are available at real-time, such as in financial institutions, where transactions and risks can be monitored, or in hospitals to monitor patients to detect problems early, said the company.
According to IBM, with the businesses increasingly getting online, there is a plenty of information that needs to be taken care of and that is where the software comes into the picture. The new software will compete with its competitors- Oracle Corp and Microsoft Corp, and other smaller companies like Tibco Software Inc.
The System S will be available from Friday onwards in English but the over all availability in multiple languages will take off in 2010. |
