HCL Infosystems said today that it has seized a Rs. 240 crores worth deal from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL), to execute “System Integration Project’ for the latter.
As a part of the deal, HCL will divert the state-owned BSNL’s Finance, Commissioning & operations functions onto a single ERP system, representing BSNL’s aim of creating a single seamless platform and enabling service delivery in a more cost-efficient manner.
On a whole, the deal will involve the implementation of over 60,000 ERP licences, making it the largest rollout in terms of licenses issued for any single project in the country.
The seven-year project will include establishment of a key Data Centre in Hyderabad and a Disaster Recovery Data Centre in Kolkata.
Furthermore, BSNL employees and business process reengineering will also be trained.
“This project for BSNL is in line with our focus on the System Integration business. There is no better endorsement than being chosen to provide ongoing ERP support services for BSNL, as this demonstrates the value that we bring to implementations of this kind in the system Integration arena,” said Mr. J.V. Ramamurthy, Chief Operating Officer, HCL Infosystems Ltd.
In a separate deal, HCL has been selected to provide ongoing support services by BSNL for the same project. |
