Huawei Technologies announced that it will launch its Photo Vision SoftBank HW001 digital photo frame in Japan in alliance with SoftBank Mobile in June.
The concept allows users to directly receive and auto-play pictures from handsets and PCs, as well as images received via MMS (multimedia messaging service) messages.
The HW001 is equipped with a 7-inch WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) liquid-crystal display and allows users to instantly share their favorite pictures stored in digital cameras or handsets. The digital photo frame can be connected to a 3G network via a SIM card. In addition, users can also start slide shows once the digital photo frame is switched on, without the need to configure any initial settings. Its auto-play function enables users to view their pictures without having to press a single button, says the company.
“We are very pleased to introduce a new visual communication mode to consumers in Japan through the launch of HW001, Huawei’s first 3G network-compatible digital photo frame,” said Yan Lida, Managing Director of Huawei Japan. “The HW001 is a milestone in Huawei’s partnership with Softbank Mobile as we embark on new collaboration opportunities that go beyond mobile voice services. We look forward to working with Softbank Mobile to deliver on our shared promise of providing innovative products that users can enjoy.” |
