Huawei United States has received TL9000-V R4.0/R4.0 and ISO 9001:2000 certification. These certifications are given to companies that effectively exhibit a commitment to quality in the design, development, production, delivery, installation and maintenance of products and services within the telecommunications industry, claims the company.

“Achieving TL9000 certification is an integral part of Huawei’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality products to meet customers'' needs in North America,” said Carl Liu, Executive Vice President of Huawei North America.

 “We are proud of successfully demonstrating compliance with the most up-to-date quality system requirements. This is further proof that our organization is committed to sustaining the highest levels of quality in the industry and continual process improvement at all levels,” added he.

The TL9000 was developed in 1999 by the QuEST Forum (Quality Excellence for Suppliers of Telecommunications Forum), in a move to promote a culture for continual improvement in the telecommunications industry.
