Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) India today announced that it has successfully executed and completed the expansion of GSM network for Vodafone Essar in companies seven new regions of operation.
The seven regions include Assam, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, North East and Orissa. NSN said that it completed the deployment within 10 months.
The contract was part of the first phase of a three year expansion agreement between NSN and Vodafone to be valid till 2010. NSN already partners Vodafone in 12 other regions in India.
NSN further said that with the under deployment it has emerged as the largest network implementation partner for Vodafone in India, with more than 80% of Vodafone’s subscriber traffic in the country flowing through the infrastructure set by it.
