Oracle may be a competitor to HP in the server market, post acquisition of Sun Microsystems. But this did not stop the two companies from coming together to jointly tap midsize companies in India with ERP solutions.

The alliance will offer ‘Oracle Accelerate Solution’ along with HP ProLiant servers which will include Oracle applications along with Certified Partner services. The new solutions will mainly cater to ERP requirements of the midsize companies offering E-Business Suite ERP application, Enterprise Operating System, Oracle Database, HP ProLiant servers and implantation services from partners for a 30 user licence.
