Huawei Technologies announced bagging a SEI CMMi Ver 1.2 Level 5 certification, the appraisal being conducted by KPMG in accordance with the SCAMPI Methodology and HTIPL been assessed at the Maturity level-5 of the Software Engineering Institute Carnegie Mellon University, USA.
Huawei had earlier bagged the CMM Level 4 Certification in 2001, CMM Level 5 in 2003, and CMMi Level 5 Ver 1.1 in 2005.
Mr. K K Raman, Lead Assessor and Executive Director of KPMG stated “Huawei Technologies India has successfully demonstrated their capability to operate at higher levels of software development maturity as seen in the Business Line assessed. The Business Line has been assessed for conformance to all the process areas up to maturity level-5 of the CMMI DEV Model based on the SCAMPI assessment. High levels of management commitment and many consistent higher maturity practices aligned to business line objectives were observed”.
Speaking on the achievement, Mr. Justin Chen, Chief Operating Officer of Huawei Technologies India said, “CMMI is one of the most suitable models for software product development and is derived from proven industry good practices.
