Idea Cellular launched its mobile services in the Chennai circle thereby making its presence in all the circles of Southern region. The company had earlier launched its services in Tamil Nadu in May.

With an earmarked investment of Rs 1000 crore the company plans to rollout a network having 1,700 cell sites covering 600 towns by March 2010.
