MTS expands reach in Kerala

SSTL’s MTS today announced the enhancement of its network capacity in the state of Kerala with its mobile services now available across all the 14 districts of the state spanning 425 towns. The company claimed that it thereby completed its first phase of network rollout in the circle within four months of launch.

 

Commenting on the achievement, said Mr. Srinirao Saripalli, Chief Operating Officer, Kerala & Tamil Nadu, Sistema Shyam TeleServices, "I am extremely happy and proud of completing this mammoth task in such a short span of time. I would like to thank our customers for their unflinching confidence in MTS. Our rapid expansion reiterates our commitment to provide superior coverage and unmatched quality of service.”

 

MTS services will now be available to 53 % of the population in the state and will cover over 45 % of the geographical area in the state. It has 681 cell sites in Kerala.
