Vodafone Hutchison to divert 450 jobs from Melbourne facility to India, Tasmania

Australian mobile service provider, Vodafone Hutchison announced that it will relocate 450 call centre jobs from its operations in Melbourne to India and Tasmania.

The JV has a call centre located at Malad in Mumbai. Out of the 450 jobs, 100 will be relocated to its Tasmanian centre and the remaining to India.

At present the 450 jobs are being outsourced to a third party firm, Service Stream whose contract ends in October.
