Chinese telecom equipment maker Huawei has been positioned as one of the three vendors in Gartner’s Leaders Quadrant in the 2009 Magic Quadrant for its softswitch and IMS solutions, said the company.
The company’s softswitch and IMS solutions, believed to be able to enable operators to simplify their networks, enhance productivity and protect initial investment, have been deployed by over 160 operators in 100 countries.
“Huawei is honored to be placed in the Leaders Quadrant and rated favorably in terms of ‘completeness of vision’ in such an established industry report. We believe this is a result of our efforts in providing operators with proven All-IP convergence solutions to accelerate their network transformation,” commented Mr. Cai Liqun, President of Core Network, Huawei on the recognition.
According to Huawei, “Leaders are high-viability vendors with a broad portfolio, significant market share, broad geographic coverage, a clear vision for how service providers' needs will evolve, and a proven track record for delivering products. They are well-positioned with their current product portfolio and are likely to continue to deliver leading products.” |
