Aricent, a global innovation, technology and services company and Sydney-based supplier of repeaters and other coverage solutions, Juni Global (Juni) have joined forces to offer a complete end-to-end WiMAX infrastructure solution for in-campus (enterprise / residential) and private networks.
Femto/ Pico Base stations from Juni are said to be ideal solutions for operators looking to expand high bandwidth mobile Internet services within campuses and small private networks as claimed by the alliance.
However, highly constrained budgets and limited availability of resources have forced in-campus and private networks desiring for a more efficient solution- in terms of both incurred capital and operating expenses.
Therein, the combination of Aricent''s standards-based, field proven WiMAX Integrated Gateway (WING) software framework and Juni's extensive suite of Femto / Pico Base Stations come into the framework, with the ideal solution for those challenged with deploying robust in-campus and private networks, said the company.
“We are quite pleased with the support from Aricent and the functionality that their products offer. We are excited about the market potential for the in-building private network market sector that the Aricent products have enabled us to pursue,” said Jay Syverson, sr. director USA, at Juni.
Further he added, “Aricent's products have been an important enabler of Juni's technologies, allowing us to rapidly develop complete solutions that meet the markets' needs, like our MAX-LAN controller that is used in our Smart in-building system.” |
