Tech Mahindra’s Chandigarh BPO Centre goes live

Tech Mahindra today announced the opening up of its new BPO Centre in Chandigarh with the Centre gradually to be expanded to offer IT services and other ent-to-end customer support to international as well as domestic clients.

The campus will be able to provide 1,400 seats with 500 seats to start with and the remaining 900 to be expanded by November 2009.

Speaking on the occasion, Vineet Nayyar, Vice Chairman, Tech Mahindra said, “It is a moment of pride for us to have the Hon’ble Governor present in our midst today. It speaks volumes about the Government’s commitment in strengthening Chandigarh’s equity as a preferred IT destination. Chandigarh is known for its exceptional BPO & IT culture, state-of-the-art infrastructure, local support from the government, availability of skilled manpower and low rate of attrition.” He further added, “This fully operational state of the art facility is a new addition to Tech Mahindra’s operations in the northern region. We look forward to servicing our esteemed clients across the globe from this new campus.”

 Other facilities of the firm include at Noida, Pune, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai, Pune and Mumbai.
