India’s Tanla Solutions signs agreement with Nokia for Licence Management & Mobile Payments

Tanla Solutions Ltd clicked a 5 year frame agreement with Nokia Corp for Licence Management, Mobile Payment and related professional services.

As part of the Licence Management deal, Tanla will provide its Licence Manager product enabling rights management of applications and software on mobile devices. Tanla claims while such a product has already been deployed across 100 million Symbian devices it will extend the compatibility of the product to other operating systems as well.

"The adoption of Smartphones is a key driver for the consumption of Applications and Content on the handset, Nokia being the clear market leader in the smart phone segment and the largest handset manufacturer, makes this agreement very significant to Tanla." says Uday Reddy, Chairman & Managing Director, Tanla Solutions.

"This agreement further highlights our strong track record in processing secure transactions on the handset and our position as a trusted supplier of mobile payment services. Through a single integration with Tanla, application developers can monetize their services in 160 countries through operator and credit card billing" added Uday on the Mobile Payment solutions deal.
