Aksh Optifibre posts Rs 6.743 cr loss in Q3 09

Aksh Optifibre reported a net loss of Rs 6.743 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2009 as compared to a profit of Rs 45.6 lakh for the same quarter last year. The EPS was at a loss of Rs 1.14 as compared to Rs 0.11 last year.

Revenues increased 36.64 % to Rs 43.07 crore.

Shares were down by 4.94 % on the BSE.

The company has recently received board’s nod to raise upto $ 200 million. Apart from cable solutions, Aksh also offers IPTV services to MTNL and BSNL. Unfortunately, IPTV has not witnessed any significant traction in India.
