Opera unveils beta version of mobile browser designed specifically for Nokia and other Symbian handsets

Opera today unveiled a new beta version of Opera Mobile 10, a mobile browser designed specifically for Nokia and other Symbian/S60 handsets.

Opera says the most noticeable feature of the new version is a sleek design first introduced in Opera Mini 5 beta offering Speed Dial feature, tabbed browsing and password manager to Opera Mobile.

The browser can be downloaded from http://www.opera.com/mobile/next/ and Opera claims it can support well touch screen as well as keypad style navigation. Opera further promises that the new version is twice as fast as the previous version with the new version having Opera Turbo which helps to save time and money of end-users due to sue of server-side compression technology.

“Today’s powerful smartphones deserve an equally powerful browser, like Opera,” says Jon von Tetzchner, CEO, Opera Software. “This beta continues our work to extend the desktop Web experience to mobile phones, allowing users to surf the Web without limitations, even while on-the-go. No matter the device in use, Opera delivers a faster, easier and hassle-free Web experience.”
