Dell and Haier Mobile’s parent company, Olive Telecommunication, today launched embedded 3G Netbooks to tap mobile subscribers interested in subscribing to high-speed wireless access over BSNL’s 3G network.
Post tie-up, select range of Dell’s laptops and netbooks will now come embedded with 3G Ericsson module, GPS and BSNL SIM. Such netbooks will come preloaded with a BSNL 3G prepaid mobile broadband data package with national roaming facility from BSNL. Additionally the bundle package will offer one year unlimited data access package from BSNL. Dell said that the products will be available from Rs 30,000/-. Dell Inspiron Mini 10 netbooks and other models will be offered under this tie-up.
Haier has lined up its Zipbook X107H, with Windows XP Home Operating System for tie-up with BSNL. The model will be offered with 2 months free usage and unlimited and download (capped at 8 GB).
