Nokia on Monday launched a new model in its E series range of models, E72 priced at Rs 22,989.
The QWERTY keypad model is positioned around its business and personal messaging capabilities. Its comes preloaded with Nokia’s push consumer email service, Nokia messaging application and onboard clients for Mail for Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes Traveler.
It makes use of a new Optical Navi key promising easy scrolling through menu, emails, internet browser, maps and images. The model also has a 5 mega pixel camera, active voice cancellation feature, supports 3G and WLAN. It has a internal memory of 250 MB which can be extended up to 16 GB using microSD. By default, 8 GB microSD is offered to customers on purchase.
Mr.Vineet Taneja, Marketing Director, Nokia India said, “Today consumers are looking for solutions that give them flexibility to manage time in a way that they can juggle and balance both work and life. They are looking for ways to connect with their friends and peers while on the go which has led to proliferation of email on mobile. According to a research conducted by Nokia, globally people are spending an average of five full days per year – equivalent to a full work week – responding to emails. Close to half of the consumers (46 percent) choose email over voice or text to send and receive important information.”
He further added, “With the latest Nokia E72, consumers will be able to accommodate multiple work and personal email accounts and, with separate profiles for work and play, which will allow people to be flexible when it comes to choosing how, when, where and who to respond to.”
In India it will be available in Zodium Black and Topaz Brown colours. |
