Tata Indicom launched a new ‘ Mobile Luckpati Contest’ in Kolkata which offers subscribers a chance to win up to Rs 500,000. While on the face it appears as another contest, the catch is that subscribers will be charged premium call charges of Rs 6 per minute and Rs 6 per SMS to participate in the contest.

Participants will be judged on the basis of their answers to questions from areas such as festivals, general knowledge, to cricket and Bollywood. Both prepaid and postpaid subscribers of mobile as well Walky subscribers of Tata Indicom can participate in the contest which is open till January 01, 2010.

50 winners will be rewarded daily with prizes worth Rs 250,000, weekly prizes worth Rs 140,000 can be won by 7 winners. The bumper prize is worth Rs 500,000 and the runner-up stands to earn Rs 250,000 by way of award.

Interested participants need to dial 582826 or send an SMS on this number. Each correct answer will turn into 10 points for the participant.
