Handset player, Micromax said on Wednesday that it will market MTV co-branded handsets in the Indian market. The first model of the series is the MTV X360 priced at RS 4,999.
The model has an 8GB expandable memory, dual SIM, GPRS, multi format music support.
The alliance will introduce five more handsets by next year.
The handsets will come preloaded with MTV content such as videos, ringtones, wallpapers and lot more from shows like Bakra, One Tight Slap, Semi Girebaal and Roadies, Micromax Executive Director Mr Rahul Sharma said.
“Mobile phones are an extension of today’s youth and it was only a matter of time before MTV entered this category,” said Vice President Consumer Products and Communications, Viacom18 Mr Sandeep Dahiya. |
