HCL Infosystems bagged a contract to commission, implement the E-governance Project & maintain the complete e-governance set-up of Sangli Miraj Kupwad Municipal Corporation (SMKMC).
As per the deal, HCL will provide technical infrastructure such as hardware, software and the technical skills required as well as the non-technical manpower. HCL will computerize all the 32 departments of the Sangli Municipal Corporation and also make then online. In the first phase, departments including Birth & Death, Water Supply, Tax Dept and Property Dept will be computerized.
HCL will also provide an online payment facility and biometric thumb impression system as part of the State Government’s project will also be offered.
The solution to be deployed by HCL will provide a daily balance sheet to office immediately with senior officers to be informed effectively about pending complaints by citizens.
