The DoT has called for a meeting of all the CEOs of telecom service providers to know the preparedness of each one of them and thereby decide on the date for implementation of mobile number portability (MNP), reports the PTI.

The move follows operators missing the earlier deadline of December 31, 2009. DoT had to ultimately extend it to March 31, 2009.
