Bharti Airtel undergoes another organizational restructuring

India’s leading private telecom service provider, Bharti Airtel will undergo another organizational restructuring following an earlier restructure announced on January 13, 2010.

 

Under the new structure, Dr Jai Menon who is presently Group CIO, Bharti Enterprises  and Director-Technology The organizational reshuffle announced earlier will now be effective March 01, 2010 as opposed to earlier announced dates of April 01, 2010.

 & Customer Service, Bharti Airtel, will move to the Bharti Group Corporate office as Group Director-IT. In his new role, Menon will establish group IT architecture and security standards as well as develop an appropriate partner governance mechanism. He will also build strategic group innovation alliances with global majors, such as IBM, Google, Apple and Microsoft. Additionally, Jai would work closely with the International Business Group led by Manoj Kohli and provide Technology and IT expertise.

 

Additionally, Amrita Gangotra who is currently, CIO, Mobile Services, Bharti Airtel will take over as Director - IT, Bharti Airtel (India and South Asia) and will report to Sanjay Kapoor. The new structure announced will be effective April 01, 2010.

 

The organizational reshuffle announced earlier will now be effective March 01, 2010 as opposed to earlier announced dates of April 01, 2010.
