Independent auditor submits report on Bharti Airtel
TT Correspondent |  New Delhi |  11 Mar 2010

The independent auditor appointed by the government to review the financial books for Bharti Airtel has submitted its report to the DoT, reports the PTI.

The DoT had appointed independent auditors to review accounting books of incumbent operators including Vodafone-Essar, Tata Teleservices, Idea Cellular and RCom apart from Bharti Airtel over allegations of under-reporting of revenues to save on annual licence and spectrum fee.

The independent auditor appointed to review RCom’s accounts had alleged that the operator resorted to manipulation of revenues.
