Vodafone Essar launched ‘Vodafone Star of the Match’ contest for IPL season III offering winners a chance to be seen on television while being honoured by the winning captain during post match ceremony.

The captain will also present a personally autographed match ball to the winner.

Vodafone will provide winner with a return trip air ticket and hotel accommodation at the city where the match is played.  The competition starts on March 9 and will continue till the end of DLF IPL season III.

Both prepaid and postpaid Vodafone customers can participate in the ‘Star of the Match’ competition. To participate, Vodafone customers have to call 121 (toll free), and answer a simple question related to cricket.

Speaking on this unique initiative, Kumar Ramanathan, Chief Marketing Officer, Vodafone Essar said, “We know that many of our customers are cricket fans and that DLF IPL is one of the most popular cricket tournaments in India.
