 The Joint Forum of BSNL Executives and Non-Executive Unions have decided to strike work on April 20, 2010 to protest against the move to retrench one lakh workers through VRS, divest 30% stake in the PSU, to unbundle last mile connectivity of the operator and outsourcing recommendations proposed by the Panel headed by Sam Pitroda.
Other issues of demand by the employees include settlement of ITS officers absorption, issue of purchase order for 93 million GSM lines and revision of IDA pension to the BSNL retired employees. |
