TT Correspondent |  New Delhi |  17 Mar 2010

Aircel entered into a tie-up with UK’s INQ which is a unit of Hutchison Whampoa wherein INQ’s mobile handsets will be offered to Indian mobile subscribers.

On Tuesday, the tie-up launched two new handsets, INQ CHAT 3G and INQ MINI, priced at Rs 7,599 and Rs 5,399, respectively.

"Both the devices will give the users a social networking experience, which helps them to stay connected," said INQ Chief Executive and Founder Frank Meehan.

INQ claims that its mobile phones are positioned to address needs of those consumers who are active on social networking mediums as well as use popular chatting and messaging services. INQ already has presence in nine markets spanning across the UK, Europe, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia.
