PSU MTNL in alliance with security solutions provider, F-secure launched PC Protection services for its Broadband subscribers. As an inaugural offer, the alliance is offering the service for free for first 30-days. After the free usage, users will be charged Rs.2 per day for the service.
The services will make use of F-Secure’s DeepGuard technology which claims to provide global protection within 60 seconds from the first confirmation of a new threat. The technology uses ‘in-the-cloud’ computing.
On the launch, Kuldip Singh, Chairman & Managing Director, MTNL said, “India is on the path of widespread Internet availability and usage and MTNL has to play the dual role of expanding availability and ensuring safety. With this partnership with F-Secure, we are able to offer our subscribers one of the most effective PC protection package which not only provides high security but is also value for money.”
