Uninor on Tuesday launched its mobile services in 5 circles namely Mumbai, Maharashtra and Goa, Gujarat, Kolkata and West Bengal thereby marking its presence in 13 circles across the country.
“This is a big day for Uninor as we enter some of the most promising and competitive markets of India. We make a start in these markets with Dynamic Pricing – a concept that ends the tariff raj and puts the power in the hands of the customer,” said Stein-Erik Vellan, Managing Director, Uninor. “We are still set on bucking the trend and that is how we will compete – through innovation, quality, flexibility and by relentlessly putting the customer first - one customer at a time”.
The operator is offering its newly introduced Dynamic Pricing (DP) tariff model which offers discount in the range of 5% to 60% depending on location and timing over base call charge of 50 paise per minute.
Collectively in the five circles, Uninor services will be available at over 85,000 points of sale through 439 distributors and at 81 exclusive shops. The company claims that such a kind of distribution network is the largest during the launch phase by any GSM operator in India. |
