Wynncom ropes in Bipasha Basu as Brand Ambassador; to set up subsidiary in China

Wynncom Mobiles announced the signing up of Bipasha Basu as the company’s new brand ambassador. Saif Ali Khan is also a brand ambassador for the company. The company also launched 7 new models in the Indian market.

“We are enthralled to see the kind of response that we have got since the time of the launch of our mobile handsets in Mumbai on 21May’ 10. I would like to take to this opportunity to thank each and everyone who is associated with it and especially to the customers for showing tremendous confidence in us,” said Rakesh Malhotra, Founder & Chairman, Wynn Telecom.

The company is aiming to be among the top 3 Indian brands in the Handset space before the end of this financial year. It plans to set up a wholly-owned subsidiary in Shenzhen, China which will take care of Design Engineering and Manufacturing employing about 200 people.

It plans to invest Rs.500 crore in the next two years towards to expand its brand, enhance distribution network and set up manufacturing facilities.

The new handsets launched are positioned around their multi-feature capabilities and are available in price range of Rs.1500 to Rs.5000.
