TT Correspondent |  Mumbai |  17 Jun 2010

Opera Software launched a new beta version of Opera 10.60 which the company says is 50% times faster than the earlier version. The new version also incorporates new web-standard features, such as Geolocation and WebM support for HTML5 video, as well as a polished and easy-to-use user interface.

The new version also scores on geolocation features which helps the browser detect location of the user and maps the user in the middle of the action for instance giving the user more accurate search results.

The browser also supports video-related portal.

“Opera 10.60 beta is so fast, it will blow you away," says Chief Development Officer, Christen Krogh, Opera Software. "Beyond the speed boost, the latest version of Opera improves on our robust HTML5 support and provides more options for quick and efficient Web search through your preferred search engines. By combining raw speed with intuitive and easy-to-use features, Opera places you among the fastest Internet users on the planet.”
