Opera Software’s mobile browser Opera Mini announced registering one billion page views on a daily basis. The fete was achieved on July 25, 2010.
Statistically, this reflects to Opera Mini servers compressing over 11,500 pages before sending that content to mobile phones around the world.
The firm registered 100 million page views per day in June 2008 while last month in June it recorded 910 million page views on an average.
“Each day is different in the fast-growing mobile Web. Every day more people around the world choose Opera Mini and view more pages through this browser,” said Jon von Tetzchner, co-founder, Opera Software. “Crossing one billion pages views in a day is further proof that people desire the best Internet experience, no matter where they live or what device they use.” |
