Bharti Enterprises’ telecom tower infrastructure subsidiary, Bharti Infratel appointed Devender Singh Rawat as the new CEO of the company. Rawat succeeds current CEO Prem Pradeep and will be reporting to Bharti Infratel, MD, Akhil Gupta.
Rawat was till recently serving as the Executive Director of Huawei Technologies. His past stints include at Escotel and Ericsson. His overall experience in the industry spans over 14 years.
In his new role Rawat will be responsible for putting together and driving a concrete long-term strategy for Bharti Infratel and proactively driving the business augmentation, operations & service excellence, said Bharti Infratel.
“He will also be responsible for key transformation projects like energy saving and deployment of renewable energy saving solutions, Classic IT (CIT) business process automation and state of the art Network Operating Centre (NOC),” said a company statement.
Rawat is an Engineering graduate in Electronics and Communications from Osmania University in Hyderabad.
For Huawei the development results in yet another to level churn in recent times. The company’s Head-Technical Sales, Saravjit Garg had put in his papers in May this year reportedly due to differences with the Chinese management. |
