Tata Indicom’s ‘ULTA PLAN’ offers STD cheaper than local calls at 30 paise per minute

Tata Teleservices’ CDMA services brand, Tata Indicom announced the launch of a new ‘ULTA PLAN’ offering STD calls at 30 paise per minute for new as well as existing prepaid subscribers.

 The plan offers local calls at 50 paise per minute.

 “We have introduced ULTA PLAN by bringing together multiple benefits designed to ring in affordable calling options for our subscribers. The offer cuts through the clutter and offers a competitive tariff that makes STD calling cheaper than local calls. The plan will be extremely suitable for heavy STD users, providing maximum value and calling benefits. Whether our subscriber is a student studying far from home, or a trader, or even a frequent traveler…this offer is designed to suit all segments,” Vineet Bhatia, Regional Head (North-Central), Tata Teleservices Limited.

The plan can be availed through recharge vouchers worth Rs 58 and Rs 104. The plans come with three months validity from the date of recharge. However the rate of 30 paise per minute will be applicable only till the limit of 600 minutes per month, If the usage crosses this limit, the additional STD calls will be charged at 50 paise per minute.

The vouchers come with free lifetime incoming call validity and provide talk-time worth Rs 32.58 and 74.29, respectively. Furthermore, SMSs would be offered at a special price of 50 paise for both national and local messages, said TTSL.

For existing subscribers the plan is available for ‘ULTA Plan Special Tariff Vouchers’ available at Rs 26 in the Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Kolkata, Mumbai and Maharashtra & Goa Circles—and at Rs 16 in Jammu & Kashmir, UP East, MPCG, RoWB, Orissa, Assam, North-East, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, UP West, Rajasthan and Gujarat with a validity of 30 days.

To activate the ULTA PACK with an SMS, subscribers have to simply SMS ‘GET ULTA’ to 12524. To avail the benefit through an SMS, customers will be charged Rs 24 in Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Kolkata, Mumbai and Maharashtra & Goa, while customers in Jammu & Kashmir, UP East, MPCG, RoWB, Orissa, Assam, North-East, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, UP West, Rajasthan and Gujarat can avail the same at Rs 15, said TTSL.
