TT Correspondent |  Mumbai |  15 Sep 2010

GTS Central Europe (GTS) announced the acquisition of Dial Telecom a.s. (Slovakia) enabling GTS to consolidate its position in the CEE region. Post acquisition, GTS plans to integrate the Dial Telecom customers and product offerings into its existing Slovak operations, creating a combined business with total annual revenues reaching nearly € 50 million.

“This acquisition will lead to further consolidation of the telecommunications market in Slovakia, and will at the same time strengthen our position as a leading operator and a significant player on CEE telecommunications market providing services to corporate customers. After recent acquisitions in Romania and Hungary earlier this year, GTS confirms its position as a leading market consolidator in the CEE region,” said Adam Sawicki, Group CEO of GTS Central Europe.

“This combination is a significant milestone for the Slovak telecommunications market. The integrated company will greatly benefit our customers with expanded service offerings, increased customer service expertise and broader network infrastructure,” said Stanislav Molcan, CEO of GTS Slovakia.
