Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has launched "Project Tarang" to provide SIM cards to all officials of the Income Tax Department. Ashutosh Chandra, Commissioner of Income Tax - Coimbatore inaugurated it.

Under the agreement, BSNL has given SIM cards to all officials of the IT Department. Officers have been provided 3G data cards.

The officers in the ranks of Commissioners and above have been provided with Blackberry mobile phones.
