mCarbon ties up with Airtel to launch ‘call-me-back’
TT Correspondent |  |  26 Dec 2012

mCarbon, a leading mobile Value Added Service (VAS) provider, has inked another service delivery deal with Airtel by unveiling its ‘Call-me-back’ service for prepaid subscribers, where a user can request their family and friends to call them back if they have a balance of less than Re 1.

The technology provides an ideal mechanism for the mobile terminal to trigger or access mobile services such as call-back, interactive messaging, information enquiry services, customer service and mobile chat. USSD Integration with the backend technology ensures message delivery over a high-speed, secure platform whilst enabling rapid application development, with a service creation platform supporting rapid, cost-effective service launch for Operators.

Rajesh Razdan, Co-founder and Director, mCarbon Tech Innovation, stated “The customer's experience of an operator has many facets and involves many touch-points. We are pleased to launch ‘Call-me-back’, one such service that drives our philosophy of Customer Experience Management. We are positive on our ability to continuously add new and exciting applications under our wing.”

The service has been launched as part of mCarbon’s existing Mobile Social offerings for Telco’s, which is changing the way Telco’s look at reconnecting with their customers. It definitely taps into how mobile subscribers are sharing their daily experiences with each other.

Rumor has it that Micromax has started out as a dbtirtiusor for Nokia in India. Now it is one of the companies in emerging markets which is challenging Nokia’s dominance. a0Micromax has 60 national and state level dbtirtiusors who in turn sell it to 8000 local dbtirtiusors.a0 Majority of Micromax’s business is in India. If it plans to foray into other markets, like it did in UAE, it will be looking for dbtirtiusors out there. Because Micromax cannot traverse the complex local distribution channels. Supertron which is a dbtirtiusor for Seagate has started its own mobile phone brand and selling them.
