Delhi metro users, especially the travelers from other parts of the country and foreign tourists now don’t have to worry about the timings of train plying on different metro routes, stations, fare, tourists places and all that is needed to make one’s visit to Delhi easier.

All this going to happen to soon through a smartphone application, which could be used free of cost as far as the running expenses are concerned. All the user has to do is to go for one time download. It will work without internet. For the development of such application, a tender has already been floated by DMRC.

Once this becomes a reality, most of the worries of the travelers related to the travel time, fare between the stations, other information such as availability of parking within station premise and new stations being constructed during the third phase of metro expansion would be solved.  

Not only this the GPS system will provide information about travelers’ current location and Metro map with the facility of zooming in and out. The first time travelers can make their travel easier by getting information of landmarks. 

Other information such as DTC buses service connected to Metro stations and feeder bus service, tourists places and how to reach there could also be availed of.
